About
At 4 Paws Forward, we believe no dog should be given up due to misunderstanding. My mission is to bridge the gap between dogs and their humans by sharing knowledge rooted in science, empathy, and positive reinforcement. I am dedicated to helping families build lasting bonds with their dogs through clear communication, mutual respect, and compassionate training. By empowering people to truly understand their dogs, I will take steps toward a world where every dog can stay in a loving home.
Leigha Plugge is the founder of 4 Paws Forward, a pet care business rooted in compassion, science-based methods, and a deep respect for how dogs think and feel. She is an aspiring positive reinforcement dog trainer currently apprenticing under Beth Joy of Unleashed Joy. In early 2026, Leigha will earn her professional dog training certification through the Karen Pryor Academy (KPA).
Until then, Leigha is beginning her journey by offering pet sitting and dog walking services, using every opportunity to build trust and support both pets and their people. She also volunteers her time to train shelter dogs and includes free basic good manners training as part of her pet care services.
Her values center around understanding how dogs learn and communicate, and she is committed to continued education and growth in the field. Leigha is known for being trustworthy, reliable, and deeply dedicated to ensuring the animals she cares for feel happy, safe, and loved.

Pet Sitting
Leaving your beloved pets behind when you have to go away can be tough—for both you and them. Dogs thrive on consistency, and a change in environment can disrupt their routine. Instead of taking them somewhere unfamiliar, I can stay in your home to ensure they remain safe, loved, and comfortable while you enjoy your time away.

Dog walking
I offer reliable, loving, and energetic dog walking services to keep your furry friend healthy, happy, and well-exercised, even when life gets busy. Whether your dog needs a quick potty break or a long stroll around the neighborhood, I customize each walk to match your pup’s age, energy level, and personality. Rain or shine, I show up with a leash in hand and a smile on my face!

Advanced Dog Walking/Training session $23 per hour
Ideal for energetic dogs requiring additional exercise and attention, or for owners seeking to reinforce basic good manners. These sessions combine structured walks with focused training, emphasizing loose leash walking techniques and essential manners. Whether your dog needs to expend energy or refine their behavior, our approach ensures a balanced and enjoyable experience.
